JUAN VALERDI

CO-FOUNDER

Juan's interest in Polo started when he was young. His father is a veterinarian and he played Polo as a hobby, introducing Juan and his brothers to the sport.  He competed in different tournaments in his hometown, General Levalle, Córdoba, Argentina, and surrounding areas. However, his career as a professional Polo player started in the United States. He started out working as a groom and later on had the opportunity to start playing practices and making his own polo horses.
Playing some tournaments in South Carolina, Kentucky, and Florida, he was raised from 2 to 3 handicap in 2003, and then for 3 to 4 handicap in 2004. He has played most of his career at Lexington Polo Club, in Lexington, Kentucky, but has traveled to many different states. In the end of 2013 he was raised to 5 goal handicap. He has since played and trained young horses to make them future polo players. In one sentence about his work, "I love what I do."
